Disappointing

By

Well, it's been just about 48hrs since I sent out eight emails to my local Edmonton Centre candidates and their national parties, inviting them to join us, and so far I'm pretty disappointed. Other than two courtesy "We appreciate your interest emails" at my private email address from my Conservative candidate and the NDP national party I've got nothing to show for my effort. Hurray for democracy inaction!

I think this weekend maybe I'll try some of the local and national media…

Personal Reccomendations for “Voting Green”
1) Unfortunately, we can’t all vote for Elizabeth May or Stephane Dion
2) ABC “Anyone but Conservative”
3) Around Victoria, from personal experience I can highly recommend Briony Penn www.briony.ca and Denise Savoie www.denisesavoie.ndp.ca

PLEASE, more suggestions from around the country

Let's see who shows

As I am not sure how this will end up appearing on the site, given my first posting, allow me to introduce myself; my name is Andrew (not to be confused with Andrew Stark) and I started the Help me decide who to vote for blog.

Well roughly 24hrs has gone by and already it looks like some good discussions are taking place:

The Andrew Stark article from Mr. H. makes some good points. A Conservative minority really is no different from a Conservative majority, if the opposition is constantly…

Eli has posted a very important link and I am going to share it with everyone.  The Sierra Club of Canada has released a report which grades all the parties on their environmental platform.  Here are the results:

Bloc Quebecois                       B

Conservatives                    F+ (ouch!!)

Green Party                      A-

Liberals                             B+

New Democrat Party      B

Of course, you should read the entire report yourself directly from the source here:http://w…

This blog has helped me clarify my understanding of strategic voting and how it can work for me in this election.

There are about 50 seats where it will be decided whether or not the Conservatives form the next government.  Here is a link that discusses this issue with respect to climate:   http://www.voteforclimate.ca/map.php

My riding of Northumberland--Quinte West is one of these swing ridings.  Our current MP is Conservative Rick Norlock.  The two previous MPs were Liberal Paul Macklin…

Frustrated

By 7 Comments

I am extremely frustrated. Even looking at these posts I can see we (i.e.  those who are registered to this site) are divided as to what to do.   We ARE concerned about the same issue: environment.  Did you hear Stephen Harper saying about us Canadians became more conservative?  That’s so untrue! The only reason he may get majority is that our votes are divided.

I agree about the strategic voting. But how could we be strategic if we can’t pick our strategy? Can we have a vote…

        Hey folks, it's Andrew again.

Madoka Gray is confused about the post made byNizam Uddin Anon titled I need some help, that appears to be a modified version of the original post that I made, and so am I.

So as the person who started this blog I have noticed that I have the ability to delete any other posts made on this same blog. That being said, I guess I will offer Nizam Uddin Anon the next 12 hours to modify their post to help clarify what they would like to…

Hello, I’m not sure who posted the original thread (I am assuming that it was posted by the moderators of this forum).   Regardless of who posted the article I have the same solution for everyone:   strategic voting.   My strategy is to do everything I can to remove Stephen Harper from power.   I think that everyone should vote using the same strategy as well, including you (whoever you are).

This strategy might manifest itself in different ways depending on your riding.   The…
