The Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) is a deal signed by the USA, Canada and Mexico. This pact will have severe environmental implications. It will mean reducing our already meagre environmental regulations down to the lowest common denominator. It is the reason Environment Canada is adopting "Smart" regulations. These regulations will allow industrial groups to self-regulate. It will mean following the US in their next military adventures and the abaondonment of any positive, independent, international effort Canada might make. Admitedly, our international environment record is abysmal.
I just don't see people talikng about this important issue. The deal has been signed and is being implemented by stealth through regulatory changes to bypass parliament and the srutiny that might bring.

I don't know about this, but from what I've always seen from the United States it sounds very plausable. They are control freaks and a threat to every person on the planet. Should this day ever arrive it will be a very sad day for every Canadian and Mexican citizen and I just pray that I'm dead before it ever happens
The whole deal is planned to be implementewd by 2022. So I guess you will need to be in the ground by then. The Council of Canadians and the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives are good sources of information on this issue.
